I’ve seen a lot of XS11s and I’d have to say that this is the nicest/cleanest one ever! Nicer than new! Asking $3900. Take a look at the pictures!
What a beautiful find this one was! Thank You John.
When I went to look at the bike, it wouldn’t start because the battery was dead, and all of the brakes were dragging, but it was cosmetically immaculate!
All of the chrome is pristine and all of the black metal pieces have been powder coated, including the entire frame. The custom red paint is not the original carmine red. but it’s very very close, and in my opinion, because it has a little metal flake in it, it’s better! The engine is as clean as they come. Looks like new.
The only part of the bike that I don’t prefer is the four into one exhaust. I am not a fan. But I do have a spare set of originals if you wanted to replace them.
After I charged the battery, it started right up, and I found that the carbs are perfectly tuned and jetted for those pipes and it runs great with the K&N pod filters! So that may be something that you don’t want to mess with, unless you decide to turn this beauty into an all-original museum piece.
I’m looking forward to your thoughts, opinions, and comments before I send it to Mecum Auctions.
